In a time when Miami-Dade is suffering the greatest water restrictions, it is important to address water use efficiency to prevent and reduce wasteful, uneconomical, impractical, or unreasonable use of water resources; therefore, Common Ground for Conservation and the City of Hialeah are hosting the
Hialeah Water Fest 2008, to raise awareness about the importance of the Biscayne Bay to South Florida’s history, commerce, arts and culture as well as the sources and threats to Miami-Dade County’s well-known drinking water supply.

CGC “Walk for Water Sanitation”: This activity will be performed by CGC in the frame of the Hialeah Water Fest. The Walk for Water symbolizes the difficult task people in developing countries must undertake every day to get safe drinking water for their families. The purpose of this activity is to raise public awareness on water sanitation and conservation. We are walking to raise awareness of our responsibility to protect, valorize, use and save the water resources.

The CGC “Walk for Water Sanitation” will benefit CGC’s Citizens XXI Program. Your contributions to help us continue the production of community outreach events are greatly appreciated. Any sponsorship will include your logo on a t-shirt, booklet and banner advertisement.

We hope you will join us for this important event. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach me at (305) 595-9142 or info@cgconservation.org

Sincerely,

Mildred Real
