One of the first manifestations of the modern environmental movement began April 22nd, 1970, in the United States. Since then, Earth Day has been commemorated on this date and it has become the world’s greatest civil celebration and the symbol of the environmental movement.
As an organization dedicated to environmental education, Common Ground for Conservation joins more than a half billion people around the world and adds a new event to the range of activities that celebrate this particular date in Miami-Dade County.
