The Art as a Tool in Environmental Campaigns

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO FIGHT GLOBAL WARMING?
-MAKE CLIMATE CHANGE ART

CGC’S COOL-PLANET-EARTH is an innovative environmental-art project designed to convey the urgent reality of global warming through the visual arts, inspiring individuals and organizations aimed to take action against global warming.

Cool Planet Artwork will be created by students concerned with the state of our environment worldwide, and with their local situation, increasing a sense of place, and understanding the human venture within the larger living web of life.

MAKING A CGC’S COOL-PLANET-EARTH ARTWORK:

Students will be required to create a Cool-Planet-Earth Globe (Glass Fishing Floats), as well as attend a public course, painting session and campaign kick-off exhibit.

This course will have a series of guest artists who will come and speak to the group in a public forum, and engage the group in a discussion about the collaborative and aesthetic processes of doing public environmental work.
